"MY CAREER HAS BEEN A GREAT RIDE" SAYS SCOTT BENNETT, award-winning chef and owner of The Corner Brasserie in San Marco. Bennett graduated with honors from the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, New York. As Chef de Cuisine, he headed up the Greenbrier Culinary Apprenticeship program in White Sulphur Springs, W.V., the nation's oldest and among its most intense finishing schools for chefs.
After a stint as excutive chef at The Lodge & Club at Ponte Vedra Beach, Bennett realized his dream of owning a restaurant, opening The Corner Brasserie, San Marco in May 2003 and creating delicious dishes including pan fried crab cakes, braised Caribbean snapper utilizing local fish and produce.
Bennett specializes in regional American cuisine with an international flair. "We strive for quality of the highest level," Bennett says. "This is a constant learning experience."
